The Black and White I Just Love You Print is a contemporary romantic print inspired by the wartime love story of the grandparents of Amatus founder and Creative Director. During the Second World War, her grandparents kept in touch by writing letters to each other while they were apart. Her granny told her grandpa that his letters were too short, so he sent her pages and pages of paper covered with "I love you, I love you, I love you."
It is this touching family story that inspired the design. The repeated handwritten words fill the artwork just as they filled those pages of letters, turning a simple declaration of love into a striking piece of contemporary love wall art. The words "I just love you" provide a quiet focal point within the design.
